• Earning miss: Navient reported adjusted earnings per share of 47 cents for the third quarter of 2023, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of 81 cents. This marked a decline from the prior-year quarter's earnings of 62 cents. Navient's earnings were negatively affected by a decrease in total other income and higher expenses. However, core net interest income (NII) showed growth, rising 13.4% year over year to $280 million, exceeding expectations. Total expenses also increased by 6.7% year over year to $240 million.
