HP's (HPQ) shares plunged 6.63% post its fiscal Q3 results, revealing a nearly 10% YoY revenue decline (7.4% after adjusting for currency shifts). Lower margins in printing and personal computing systems led to a 17% drop in adjusted earnings per share. Despite gaining PC market share and growth prospects in gaming and subscriptions, weak sales environment and disappointing earnings guidance cautioned investors.
